Extensions

Triton stays small. The heavy tools — board design, physics, CAD — install separately, only if you want them, and update on their own schedule. Nothing you skip costs you anything.

Extensions need Triton installed first.

Triton PCB Studio Design a circuit board, and ask Triton about it

A 2D board editor with a real parts library and a 3D preview rendered in Blender. Triton reads the same board you are editing, so you can ask why a trace is too thin or what a footprint is for while you draw it.

Triton Sim Lab Simulate before you build

Structural and thermal analysis on real geometry, checked against textbook answers rather than trusted because it ran. Ask for a result in plain language and get the number, the assumptions, and how far off it might be.

  • Design a steel by composition, not by picking from a list
  • Yield, tensile and ductility — checked against real steels, worst case 5.8% out
  • Heat treatment from composition: quenched and tempered hardness, and what a thick section will really do
  • Tells you how many cases backed each number, so a perfect score on two samples reads as two samples
Write your own extension.json

An extension is a folder with a small manifest naming what it is, what it needs, and what to start. Triton handles installing, updating and launching it. Your surface can live inside the Triton window or run as its own app.

Sim Lab is ready to download now. The others ship as they are finished — Triton itself is free and works without any of them.
