A living wallpaper that dances to your music.
Resonanz sits behind your windows as a real desktop wallpaper and listens along: 97 visuals – rings, equalisers, 3D, MilkDrop-style feedback trance, a black hole, a night drive – react to the bass, mids and highs of whatever your Mac is playing.

What Resonanz can do.
- 97 visuals in nine categories, all running as Metal shaders on the GPU
- Listens to system audio – Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, any app – no microphone needed
- Reaction from calm to extreme, colour themes and a gallery with live previews
- Rendered buttery-smooth on its own thread – and paused whenever windows fully cover the desktop
Answered straight.
My Mac says it can’t verify the app. What now?
Resonanz isn’t notarized by Apple yet. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security once and click Open Anyway near the bottom. After that, Resonanz starts normally.
What does Resonanz ask for – and why?
Only system audio, so the wallpaper can move to the beat. Sound is only analysed, never stored or sent. Pause Resonanz any time from its menu bar icon.
