Look around your seed before you commit to it.
Seedscape adds a Preview tab to the create-world screen, so you can look at a seed before you start walking around in it. The map shows the real biomes for your world type, with hills and valleys shaded in. It only runs on your side, so servers don't need it. Not out yet.
What Seedscape can do.
- Drag to move around, scroll to zoom, hover to see the biome and coordinates
- Height shading shows mountains, valleys and coastlines
- It uses the world's own generator, so the map matches the world you get
- Hold Shift and drag a box to pre-generate that area while you play
- Client-side only. Nothing to install on the server
